NOMS! Chicken Tortilla Soup

I hadn't thought of writing about food on my blog, but because I love food so much, it only makes sense to share this love from time to time. Now I'm not much of a cook, but when I find a recipe I'd like, I get more than excited and can't wait to try it out.

Today I decided to search allrecipes.com for something to make my tastebuds dance and happened across "Chicken Tortilla Soup." I LOVE mexican flavours and was feeling the soup vibe on this cold winter day so I went to the grocery store and picked up ingredients. Not only is this easy and quick to make, but it smells absolutely delicious and tastes simply DIVINE, which is why I'm sharing it with you. If you're a fan of soup and spice and Mexican flare, this recipe is a definite must-try. Give it a go, and let me know what you think!

Ingredients (for 6 servings)
- 1 cup chopped onion (I used red)
- 3 cups chicken broth
- 1 (14.5 oz) can diced tomatoes with green chile peppers
- 1 envelope taco seasoning
- 1.5 lbs skinless boneless chicken breast mean, cubed
- 2 tbsp cornstarch
- 1/4 cup cold water
- shredded Mexican cheese
- fresh cilantro (optional)

Directions

  1. Combine onion, chicken broth, tomatoes, and taco seasoning in a large sauce pan; bring to a boil over medium heat. Stir in chicken; reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer until chicken is no longer pink, 4 to 6 minutes. Mix cornstarch and water in a small bowl until smooth; gradually stir into soup.
  2. Bring soup to a boil over medium-high heat; cook, stirring occasionally, until thickened, about 1 minute. Top with Mexican cheese and cilantro, and serve with tortilla chips if desired :)

My Blonde Adventures: Shampoo Review

Just over 3 months ago, I made the decision to start my journey from brunette to platinum blonde. I had been blonde for the summer last year, but my hair being significantly shorter, made it much easier to get to the colour I wanted.

This time however, was not quite as easy. A few months before I had done a hair show and although I didn't get left with any crazy colours, I did get left with layers of reddish brunette, which as most of you know, is TERRIBLE to try and get rid of. Not to mention the fact that my hair is longer than last time so trying to get an even blonde is pretty difficult.

While I've only had my hair done twice now (the initial application and one roots touchup), the colour, while still uneven, looks pretty good so far. After the first application, there were still a lot of yellow tones, and even some areas that looked orange. Inexperienced at being blonde I picked up John Frieda Sheer Blonde Toning Shampoo and conditioner from my local drugstore. The lack of toning strength in this shampoo combined with the relentless brassy tones in my hair made for zero results. I spent a good month and a half rocking the dreaded "trying too hard to be blonde" kind of blonde.

Shortly after my second hair lift, and still seeing no difference with my blonde shampoo, I picked up a bottle of Paul Mitchell Blonde Shampoo. I've used it 4 or 5 times now, and I've noticed a significant difference. I realize my hair was already much less brassy to start, but either way, my hair is on its way to that brass-free, ashy platinum blonde that I've been hoping for. While I'm still dealing with a few brassy patches (damn that red), this shampoo is definitely worth using, and highly recommended to any of you blonde bombshells if you're working on losing those warm tones.

Long story short: John Frieda=unimpressive, and Paul Mitchell=amazing!

All the love,

Skye

TOY REVIEW: the Wanachi

"Diamonds are a girl's best friend," right? WRONG! Vibrators, my friends, are a girl's real best friend. I think most girls can agree when I say that this discovery opened up a whole new world of fun, orgasms and independence.

When looking for a new toy, I'm always wondering what the best option is, finding myself reading reviews trying to find something with a great rating. The problem, is that because all girls are different and because our lady parts are equally as unique, reading reviews might not always be of any help. Keeping that in mind, I wanted to add my own review to already huge bank of sex toy literature, by writing about my go-to vibrator, the Wanachi.

Coming in at a very affordable price range ($20-30 at the right place), the Wanachi is easy to use, with a simple twist of the end of the handle. The more you twist it, the stronger the vibration, and for a battery-operated toy, the vibration is pretty substantial. I find that I generally need more stimulation and was worried that it may not be strong enough, but this toy definitely does the trick. Because I do cam shows with my boyfriend, I also like using this one because it is easy to use, small enough to not get in the way, and easy to move around with. It also comes in 5 colours (black, white, purple, pink and blue), which is always a nice option.

I've found that the biggest downside with this toy is that it doesn't seem to have a very long life span. For reference, we've gone through a handful of these and they've all consistently broken at the rubbery joint, where the head attaches to the handle. Generally this part allows for flexibility and ease of movement, but when it breaks, the head becomes flimsy and harder to use. But for the price we're paying, I guess we really can't complain that it doesn't hold up in comparison to the heavier duty vibrators.

Overall, I think this toy is pretty great for what it is and the price it costs, but after breaking another one, I'm excited to move on and try something new.

**the toy reviewed in this blog is the Original Wanachi, not to be confused with the mini, or any other variations.

Diving In

My name is Skyler. Last year, my boyfriend (the Heisenberg to my Skyler) and I decided to dive into the world of online camming as a means to make an income with hopes to get by and be able to pay the bills. Inspired by Walter White in Breaking Bad, we thought we'd "break bad" in our own sense, by doing something we consider to be fun and convenient despite the social taboos that might come with it. I can say that this has been the most liberating decision I have ever made in my life, and have never been happier.

While I never expected to take the route of making online porn, I always thought I'd do something that involved social networking/marketing, or blogging, but those things seem to be coming as a result. I've always wanted to write a blog and have started writing ideas and making plans but have never followed through for lack of inspiration and passion. While I love fashion, makeup, shopping, music, movies, and other girly type things, and have dabbled in the world of fashion modeling, that didn't seem to be enough inspiration to write about it. Only recently have I thought to combine those loves with my love of sex and all things porn to make a blog that I would get excited to build, and perhaps in turn, that others might get excited to read.

So far, these are some ideas that I've come up with, in terms of future content. Feel free to contribute ideas of things you'd like to read, or hear from me, or things you'd like me to learn about to report back my own experience.

  • Fashion - great shopping finds, favourite articles of clothing, great lingerie panty hauls
  • Sex toy reviews ;)
  • Beauty product reviews on some personal favourites
  • Book, movie, music reviews on what's inspiring me at the moment
  • Photoshoots
  • Camming experiences - with each other and hopefully in the future, with other online cam models/people, porn/industry people
  • Travel experiences
I'm super excited to build on these ideas and to share more sides of myself and my interests. I'm looking forward to hearing feedback as well because as much as I'm doing this for me, I also take great pleasure in knowing it's something that YOU might enjoy too. Expect a post at LEAST every Saturday, and if I start to slack, give me a gentle slap on the ass.

love always,

SkyHi
